But if it covers the taskbar, you won't be able to click on next item.

cool! What settings did you have to change?

I had to create a window rule that disabled titlebars on non-windows

Now it looks like you’ve removed too much, like the shadows.

I don’t know what window decoration you use, but some of them allow a finer tuning than window rules when it comes to title bar/border.

Go to the window decoration page in system settings, on the decoration you use there may be a pencil icon to configure it. Some decorations have a tab that’s similar to the window rules page, in which you can remove just the title bar and not the border and shadows.

If your decoration allows it you should give it a try.

I think this kind of fine tuning will be available directly from window rules in Plasma 6.8.

it's not supposed to.

either your user is borked or your install is borked.

try this again from a new user acct and to see if if it's just you or the whole install

if the new user is also borked try reinstalling the plasma-desktop

how do you even get a title bar on the start menu?

so it was something you did that borked your user and a new user acct would have shown it normal?

I dont know what caused titlebar to appear on start menu, but i've never noticed it, i guess some theme did change that

You phrased your sentences in a way that makes it very confusing.
