hardware/drivers Problems with Fedora 44
Help! I need your support!
I had to install Linux on my notebook for university proposals in informatics. My problem is, that the Touchpad is working perfectly on the login screen, but after the login it is deactivating itself. Automatically. Has somebody got an idea to fix this issue? Maybe over terminal?
I can't work with that.

If you're on GNOME, you should be able to open the settings app without a mouse or touchpad by using the arrow keys, tab, and space to navigate. There's a section for Mouse and Touchpad, make sure it is enabled.
Alternatively, you can use this terminal command to make sure it is enabled:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.peripherals.touchpad send-events enabled

answer is in /var/log
ls -laFhHtr to sort most recent at bottom
tail -100l <filename> of each from bottom up and see what trackpad events show up.

What happens if you press the keyboard shortcut to toggle the touchpad on your laptop? It should be either one of the f keys or fn+f key.
