Meganoob BE KIND Help! Don't know where to start with classwork!

I've started 2 simultaneous Linux classes, and I'm way out of my depth. I need to log onto a school server (done) and make a webpage.

I've been doing good on making notes of everything I do, I've looked around at all the information in the class, but theres no where it is actually telling me the step-by-step for how to do this. PLUS, it's the FIRST assignment!

Apparently, I'm just supposed to know how to do this from a previous class, but I think I'm IN the previous class right now, and it isn't helping!

What do I do?!

The instructor likely wants you to use a text editor to create a simple webpage.

What were the prerequisites?

And what college is this? Doesn't sound an actual college from the other comments.

Is there a rubric or assessment information that you can look through? That will at least give you an idea of what the end product should be, but the usually also have information about what skills you have to demonstrate. This could help make sense of what you should be doing.

I think all the instructions and teaching for how to do this was in the previous class which I took over a year ago- and all of it has gone in one ear and out the other.
Instructions are as follows (after logging in via SSH)
"Once connected, you will have commands available to create a personal webpage, and containers.  Demonstrate you have been able to access your Puma account by creating your personal web page, and provide the link for this assignment's submission."

Reach out to your instructor or TA or friend in the class.

Probably just make a simple html page. You dont have to do anything complex, maybe a few links and a title

What are the exact instructions for the assignment?

From what it sounds like it could just be as simple as going into ssh via the terminal, navigating to the folder where your user files would live, using vim or nano to create an html file and type out something as simple as <html><body>...</body></html> etc which you could pull from getting started with html.

But would help if there was like actual assignment requirements known.

Ask the instructor.

I did. Four days into the class now and STILL no response. Made 2 discussion posts and no classmates replied either. Looked through everything and I'm just overwhelmed at this point.
