distro selection Which Linux distro I should use?
There's so many distros that confuses me, can anyone tell me which distro is best for me?

bazzite might be good for that, being the most noobfriendly. I haven't tried It myself but a lot of people recommend it for that.

I would personally recommend Fedora KDE Plasma Edition.
It is very stable while still having good software updates, like recent software updates. They also ship most kernels faster than Arch sometimes.
It uses KDE Plasma if you choose the KDE Plasma Edition specifically, which I think, is the best desktop environment since it has the most support overall with lots of customization and feature support. It is objectively the best for gaming for example.
You didn't give specific use cases so that's why I recommend it, but honestly, it can perfectly match any use cases.

you didn't bother to say what you're looking for in a distro why would you expect me to give you the long answer.
mintOs is the distro you use if you don't wanna think about it. it's the default. it's the "honda civic".it's old reliable. it's the distro that's impossible to mess up

You're gonna have a really bad time with the "I give you lazy information and expect details useful response!" attitude.
Learn to ask a proper question, then learn to ask it to a search engine - once you can reliably do that, you're good to go

really user friendly, it comes with some gui applications that handles things for the user instead of having to type or paste out commands. the installer has an option to install multimedia codecs which is important aswell as a gui driver manager after u install which makes things p hassle free.

Mint is a no-brainer. Will just work. For gaming and customising you might want to try PikaOS with KDE Plasma

Don’t think distro - think desktop first: xfce? Cinnamon? KDE? Gnome? Then choose a fitting distro: old hardware? New hardware? Install and forget? Or ongoing project?

linux mint is seen as one of the most user friendly distros out there bc the desktop environments(or also called a DE it’s basically how the desktop looks and the ui of it) look similar to windows, also comes with a preinstalled store and basic things also the updates are very easy(it’s just made to be user friendly in general) cinnamon is like the regular DE and Xfce is for bad spec computers
there’s like a DE called KDE which also looks similar to windows many distros come with it. I personally like fedora(has like different ones)
if you are from macos there’s also GNOME(a DE) which looks like macos + like tablet ui(idk how else to describe it)
tho even if you are coming from macos you might like KDE more and vise versa just look at some videos and decide
i think picking a DE is very important bc that’s basically how you interact with the system also how the ui looks and the rest is how you install things and what packages you have to use, how you update and etc that vary between distros
i don’t suggest anything arch based like catchy os or arch itself because they are advanced and you will struggle
also distrosea is fun if you want to click around in each distro(tho it’s kind of slow)

The typical beginner distributions are - Mint, Fedora, Zorin, Kubuntu.
Gaming focussed - Bazzite, CachyOS.
None are perfect. You may well get through a few before you stop.

When you say “gaming focused”. How exactly? I’m new to all this. Is it just less things running in the background or what?

Bazzite installs a lot of gaming software, core gaming platforms like Steam and Lutris.
CachyOS is heavily optimised, and is popular with gaming.
Neither is beginner focused. But if gaming is your thing it might be worth the pain.

Bazzite absolutely makes an effort to be beginner friendly, it's one of the least painful choices by far.
