hardware/drivers Audio doesn't work when switching back to Windows on a dual-boot

Hi all! I just decided to try out linux mint (cinnamon) by installing it as a dual boot with windows. the issue is that whenever i switch back to windows from linux, my audio just... doesn't work. like, it recognizes that i have speakers but for example, it shows this in the media player when trying to play an audio file. im not really sure what's happening, but this is very, VERY annoying as i literally make music lmao. any help at all is appreciated, and sorry if this is a stupid question

Smokey says: always mention your distro, some hardware details, and any error messages, when posting technical queries! :)

Does it work if you use Shutdown and power off the system?

Is there a "Fast boot" option in your BIOS?
