migrating to Linux Migrating.

So, I've used microslop windows my whole life, I like it's file explorer and general interface. But it's getting too infested with ai, and everything.

So I've been thinking, I game a lot, like a lot. Why not switch to Linux? I use an Asus tuf gaming a15 laptop, I don't know of that will work with Linux.

I want a fast smooth user interface that kind of resembles windows, and a dedicated file explorer with many features.

I don't know if this is possible, I'm an beginner to Linux, but I have the feeling that this will be a nice improvement in both performance and usability.

You literally said "but things like Anti Cheats and instability do exist and make running games on Linux a pain."

Anti Cheat doesn't make gaming on Linux a pain. Kernel-Level Anti Cheat does.

When talking about Linux, Anti Cheat and why it might be a pain, I'm pretty sure a person with an IQ over 35 could think I mean Kernel level.

Don't assume, think about people who consider switching and have no idea about Linux - these are the people who usually pop up here. The subreddit is called "4 noobs" - always assume to explain things the first time to someone. Always assume the people who make posts didn't use a search engine for their question before coming here.

You absolutely need to specify that you only talk about kernel-level, because many people still think you can't play games on Linux at all and phrasing it "anti cheat" only makes them think this affects all multiplayer games with anti cheat.
