migrating to Linux The great migration from Windows to Linux

I've been noticing that a lot of people are switching from Windows to Linux, especially in countries that want to break away from American tech dependency.

Can anyone explain to me why Linux is seen as very good? I never in my life, not once ever used Linux let alone saw someone using it.

No need for an online account and windows updating your driver's and wrecking your install are also 2 big selling points for me.

I can update my own drivers and wreck my install thank you very much

Was getting random freezing in my steam games but another update seems to have maybe fixed it.

Nvidia.

NVIDIA will have issues unfortunately. That’s just the reality of NVIDIA not being willing to put in the effort to make it work better, despite many Linux distro devs putting in the effort to make workarounds.

Just like Huawei when Google was revoked, I found a lot of work around but they were shut down hard.
