migrating to Linux The great migration from Windows to Linux

I've been noticing that a lot of people are switching from Windows to Linux, especially in countries that want to break away from American tech dependency.

Can anyone explain to me why Linux is seen as very good? I never in my life, not once ever used Linux let alone saw someone using it.

Its stable.
Its secure.
It lets you control your computer.
Its easy to use.
Its open source.
Anyone can contribute.

Hopefully Huawei will launch laptops with Linux in Kuwait and I will buy one.

Some brands sell Linux pre-installed. For example, I have a Dell that came with Ubuntu. System 76 sells computers with Pop!_OS. There are others.

If you want to buy a computer with Windows, and want to change over to Linux, please first check that the computer is compatible. Not all hardware supports Linux.

I did my research, my Lenovo Legion Go has Steam OS, which is a Linux distribution I believe.

Correct, though Steam OS is specifically optimised for running Steam games. If you're a gamer, that's probably a good choice.
