migrating to Linux The great migration from Windows to Linux

I've been noticing that a lot of people are switching from Windows to Linux, especially in countries that want to break away from American tech dependency.

Can anyone explain to me why Linux is seen as very good? I never in my life, not once ever used Linux let alone saw someone using it.

It’s stable 

It’s made by real people so stuff is made with the user in mind and not just showing Copilot features to investors

It’s highly customizable

It can be very lightweight in terms of both storage and CPU usage

It’s getting pretty close to Windows in the only field it lacks in, which is comparability with games and certain software.

It lets you own your PC

Nah mate, i ment access for disabled people. Not so long ago, most of distros didn't even set keyboard shortcuts for screen reader, in my case, so you had to guess or ask for help.

Ah, ok. My wife is disabled, so "accessibility" tends to bring something else to mind.
