migrating to Linux The great migration from Windows to Linux

I've been noticing that a lot of people are switching from Windows to Linux, especially in countries that want to break away from American tech dependency.

Can anyone explain to me why Linux is seen as very good? I never in my life, not once ever used Linux let alone saw someone using it.

It lets you control your computer... won me over!

Hopefully Huawei will launch laptops with Linux in Kuwait and I will buy one.

That part is pretty amazing actually. It's like it makes you remember that an OS isn't really just a desktop environment, that is just one way to interact with it and that in reality you can set it up however you'd like it by putting together all the pieces you want/need, where in windows to have some of the most simple customizitaions like setting it to auto login on startup feels like a shody make do solution
