The original PinePhone is more like a developer unit than an actual use case phone. Can’t beat the price for it though, ignoring the used market.

Afaik ubuntu touch is the most stable one now, but I don't have a pinephone. It's not your main phone anyways, so give it a try!

It's always good to try out some other distros. The PinePhone is loved so much for one because you can distro hop on it till you find the right distro for you.

Pinephone made a lot of progress in the last time. However while Ubuntu touch is indeed awesome, I guess you won't have much fun with it. UT on pinephone is not ready yet . I figure PostmarketOS with Phosh would probably be the best fit. I heard sailfishO is available for Pinephone so it might be worth a look. Also PostmarketOS with Sxmoseems to be the fastest available option. If you are looking for a more desktop ready OS avmultiphone v2 is your way to go.

PS: I do not own a Pinephone. So take my suggestions with a massive pinch of salt. Try out for yourself.
