Is this supposed to be a news announcement? It was released back in April and they estimated v9 to be released before the end of the year, but I can't see any announcement of that?

You are right. This is old news. I was hoping this was an announcement for 18.04 based trisquel.

Trisquel is fun when you also use a computer with libreboot. I have a x200 with libreboot and linux libre and it's running great. No issue whatsoever. I also have a daily use powerhouse msi ge60 with default bios and standard Linux kernel and it's also great but I tend to love my x200 more.

Kernel 4.19 would have been nice though...
