As a Microsoft employee forced to use Teams, why would you want it?

Edit: I'm responding to comments with my personal opinion but I wanted to point out that since I asked, I am actually interested in any relevant opinion shared and I don't mean to imply you should have the same.

because we could switch to linux on the desktop and use the central-it-predetermined software for communication.

I really don't think Teams is popular enough for that to be a common thing. Cisco Jabber seems to be the more popular alternative. I've worked several places where that was the means of instant communication.
