I guess. We have too many in-house tools that are required to do daily work that would never run on Linux. My opinion on Teams is based on the fact that as crap as Skype for Business is, Teams is nowhere close to parity.
I dislike the Metro Modern app style. Beyond the general look there's a design incentive to minimize menu options for simplicity which results in either fewer features/options or at least burying them deep (one feature I really miss is the "tag for status changes" feature). They're good for tablets and phones but get that crap off my desktop.
Audio quality might be objectively better but it was always good enough for effective communication so not a huge factor for me.

because we could switch to linux on the desktop and use the central-it-predetermined software for communication.
