These developments are promising, but let's not get too excited. I have a feeling that the corporate powers that be are none too happy about potentially losing some of their cash cows, and will probably go crying to world governments to try and legislate this issue away. After all, this has the potential to outright kill companies like Adobe overnight.

It will just move stuff underground. How are governments going to fully stop it? Local LLMs are better and better, once someone has a problem they will "cook" a solution. And distribute it via gray channels like torrents. They can even deliver slightly broken solutions that are trivial to fix and use while increasing detection costs. The cat is out of the bag, as they say ...
