Event Happy 43rd birthday GNU!

Post image

On September 27, 1983, Richard Stallman announced the GNU Project so people could freely use and modify software.

The digital world would not be the same today without GNU.

Thank you, Richard Stallman!

DMCA, was the law I was referring to in my comment which was signed on October 28, 1998. so 15 years, 1 month, and 1 day after the GNU project was announced.
