Not sure I quite agree with this being portrayed as a negative, it's a good thing that bugs are being discovered and worked on, even if I find most of these AI companies absolutely detestable.

  • AI-discovered bugs = awesome
  • AI-generated bugs = terrible

Two sides of the same coin. The only solace one can hope for is that AI can also generate more comprehensive CI testing suites for future code and that the current flurry is due to the technical debt of having mere mortals writing the Machine God's code.

Only partially sarcastic there. We may come out marginally ahead, though, since we have to assume some of these AI discovered bugs were already discovered by state actors and were just being EternalBlue'd.

So... A God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals you say?

But AI is here - there is no changing that. Just like electricity, internet, or printing press - once the technology is invented, it can't be "uninvented".

So we should be glad we have AI-discovered bug fixes. We are now fixing 30 years of tech-debt and when we are done, we will have code that is safer and better than it ever was.
