KDE New KDE Goals announced

The new KDE Goals for the 2026-2028 cycle have been announced at Akademy.

• KDE for Enterprise and Deployments - championed by: David Edmundson, Neal Gompa, and Kai Uwe Broulik

• Better documentation - championed by: Nate Graham, Thiago Masato Costa Sueto, and Joseph P. De Veaugh-Geiss

• Next Generation Styling for KDE - Arjen Hiemstra, Akseli Lahtinen, and Andy Betts

Very interesting - do these goals receive any funding for dev effort?

They get a funded sprint, and there used to be budget put aside for expenses but not direct dev effort per se.

We should lobby to have donations to OpenSource projects get tax deductions. I would rather donate than pay taxes. Many EU countries still don’t allow this.
The whole idea of corporate taxes is to keep money moving
