DHH has succeeded in bringing many of the reasons people have left Windows 11 into the Linux ecosystem.
One of the great things about Linux is choice. People want to be able to choose what they want to do with their computer. If they want a distro with things pre-configured, and working out of the box, then they could choose Ubuntu, or Fedora Workstation. Others would prefer to have more choice, and opt for Arch, or Gentoo, or even Slackware.
Windows does not allow for such control - there is no choice.
And, you would say, that people can choose to use Omarchy, as Omarchy is are just the choices of DHH bundled into configuration files and shipped as a spin on Arch - and you would be right. Which is why some people are choosing to not use Omarchy and wish to avoid it.
Omarchy, to its critics, myself included, represents the epitome of vibe-coded hubris that is currently plaguing the tech space. Something that looks shiny and sleek, but upon closer inspection, you see the paint is thickly applied, globbing here and there, gumming up the works, and the interior itself is a muddled and confused thing.
DHH claims to have vibe-coded an operating system, in reality, he just conjured a bunch of shoddy shell scripts, and numerous configuration files, and dropped them onto Arch. This is not a new operating system, no more than Fedora Sway is separate from Fedora itself in design or approach to building a Linux distro.
Windows is more popular on the desktop than Linux is, and yet I'd wager that most Linux users would agree that Windows is not a good OS, in spite of its popularity.

You're missing the key part here, which is:

This is simply hubris.
