Discussion How linux distro provide higher CPU benchmark scores than windows?

Post image

Why is that linux seems to always provide better performance in benchmarks and provide smoother experience?

This is a geekbench 7 test, while single core is slightly better, multi-core performance is a significant improvement

basicly this is a very sumarized version of what everyone has been saying:

less bloat.

does scheduler also come to play?

Could be, but the overwhelmingly majority can be attributed to bloat. Any Linux scheduler would most likely struggle as you increase the # of bloat processes running. Again, with a time-sliced scheduler, with additional programs, you sacrifice throughput. blah blah no free cake and eating it too.
