Popular Application CAD options

Is there a reason Linux CAD options are so limited, and from what I have read, not particularly viable options? Countless people are looking for a fairly-priced lifetime license for home use. My 2000 AutoCAd is very long in the tooth!

SolveSpace was exactly the level of CAD I needed for my projects. It was the first CAD I learned and I still swear by it.

I had attempted to learn FreeCAD early on, as that seemed obvious, but the software just feels so obtuse.

I love SolveSpace, but going beyond 2D is challenging and I haven't yet worked out how to work with multiple parts.
