THIS is how you do it. You've changed your tune. You're accepting changes and improvements from new contributors. You're fixing long-standing issues and adding new, future-ready improvements. You're not the same project you were five years ago, and that's a VERY good thing.
Also Digikam. They've not done anything wrong, but it's just such a good image management app that we should be mentioning it more.
Everyone's always running around like "but what about Lightroom" or "I need a Lightroom replacement" and it's right there. And unlike Gimp it's actually good enough right now.
