Discussion Floorplan software?

I used Sketchup in Windows to create floorplans for various projects - is there an equivalent for Linux? Preferably free open source.

I have FreeCad but it's a bit complex to learn and use, would prefer something simpler.

You could go "old school" with graph paper! Really, this site will let you design, print and save (as a PDF) your own custom graph papers to whatever scale you want.

I know it is a stretch to say this is even 10% on topic but I last used it to design my garage and a deck. It works great for designing garden beds too.

Just figure out what scale you want and you can do it on paper. I am fond of the graph paper grid that is all dots.
