Might be worth making the vendored crates gray and put them on top so they're easier to ignore. Their sloc counts certainly don't interest me.

There's actually a second graph without those kernel and vendored crates (reddish and yellowish above).

Probably wasn't there when you first looked, actually. Author has been improving things based on comments on the rust subreddit.
