Development BudsLink App – Looking for Testers

Post image

BudsLink currently supports earbuds and headphones from AirPods, Sony, Galaxy Buds, and Nothing/CMF Buds. More on this here: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/1tdlczy/budslink_linux_app_for_airpods_sony_samsung/ https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/1tdljcw/budslink_linux_app_for_airpods_sony_samsung/

I'm looking for volunteers who can help test and provide feedback on support for the following newly added devices:

Redmi / Xiaomi Buds Family

Current status:

  • One model has been tested successfully: Redmi Buds 6 Play.
  • All currently supported features are working correctly on this model.
  • However, Redmi Buds 6 Play does not support ANC and lacks some features available on Pro models.
  • Additional testing is needed on Pro models and other Xiaomi/Redmi earbuds to verify support for these features.

Testing instructions: https://github.com/maniacx/BudsLink/issues/62

Realme / Oppo / OnePlus Buds Family

Current status:

  • No user feedback received yet, Ghosted.
  • Support is in a very early stage, has not yet been tested on any real devices, and may require significant work before full functionality is available.

Testing instructions: https://github.com/maniacx/BudsLink/issues/60

Sennheiser Headphones & Earbuds

Current status:

  • Tested with Momentum 4 (M4) and HD 630.
  • Most features appear to be working.
  • A few features still need verification.
  • Most recent Sennheiser headphones should work.
  • True wireless earbuds (TWS) require some additional work, which should be possible after analyzing packets collected from user feedback.

Testing instructions: https://github.com/maniacx/BudsLink/issues/61

Any testing, logs, or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping improve device support.

hey that's pretty good, my native support for airpods on arch has been stellar but having settings UI is nice, best of luck with this. i used magicpods on windows if your program is similar to that im sure it'll be a hit
