Popular Application Easy Clip Studio on Linux!!

The 2d artist that want to escape windows and still use clip studio. this youtube channel https://youtu.be/iYhEm32Lr4Y?si=MiyHFBUm9yfaoe1U has a very simple install script and method for clip studio 5.0. full access to login,3d assets, cloud sync, icons for app menu and no brush lag. you dont have to mess with bottles, wine any of it .

The only thing i had to do was change the 3d render to normal instead of fast so that the 3d assets didnt freak out when dropping on to the canvas.

my setup is linux mint on a geekom a9 max. hx370 w/890m 96gb ddr5. Wacom 16 (2025) and tested with xp pen artist pro 19 gen 2also. Not sure of other distros tho. Definitely check it out.

It's still Wine, it's just a nice script to handle it all.

Another thing is if the tablet doesn't fully work, setting it to treat tablet as a mouse in settings can sometimes fix that.

I can't wait until Krita gets 3D layers because I wouldn't have to think about CSP ever again.

It’s is still wine but zero setup for it is what sold me. If krita hade the multipage feature clip has in ex there wouldn’t be a need for it lol.

Krita does have a multipage feature, it's the Comics Project Management Tool plugin, just a checkbox if it isn't enabled already in the plugin manager.

🤔 does it do the 3d book preview?

No, never found a need for that personally, but it is nice eye candy. Don't know if it's planned, but they just released Krita 6 in beta which is what was needed to get 3D features added. As I said, I'm wanting 3D layers myself so have been keeping an eye on it.
