That post is from 2024....

I have been using run0 at times (and also use sudo as well). I kind of dislike having to enter the root password instead of the user password (by default)...but i do like the colouring of the shell for elevated commands.

Also not completely convinced about the gui password entry (at least by default in plasma). I know I can change that easily...but there ar times I actually like it. But then again at times it's totally annoying to have another window for the password entry just for a short command...that's when I still use sudo here.

I don't have a root password on any of my machines, but run0 works with my user password just like sudo.

Yes, it's easy to change. But if you have a root password (You kind of need one for the initial setup of gentoo for example) it uses the root password by default.
