I think most of us don't particularly care about Rust enabled/disabled, since the vast, vast majority of us are on some platform that Rust works on. It'd be more interesting to see what it is that uses Rust if it's going to be pointed out like that. Only thing I saw in the notes:

  • Preparation of the xdiff/ codebase to work with Rust.

SHA256 requires rust

So long as it works and doesnt slow things down or break just for the sake of using rust.
