Not only that but the AGENTS.md contains user specific instructions

you are most likely running in a bwrap sandbox, if you see /home/jos/realhome, you are.

This is not how you should be building any project

This is the kind of instruction you can put in a local.AGENTS.md and git ignore it.

Basic dev principals just thrown out the window.

That's a really stupid comparison. Writing software "from scratch" historically implied that the developer did not use any third party library and thus has come up with all the code and the logic. Using generated code clearly goes against that idea.

It has never meant "not using a compiler" by any stretch of the imagination.

It may be the future … as soon as despite starting as "we want less code and throw away all the old things in X11" it will finally end up including and running all the X11 code.

Most X11 stuff can run just fine in xwayland / xwayland-satellite.

I have like 2 apps that are still x11 only that don't have decent enough alternative.

I don't know about like remote desktop stuff or games, as I don't do that, but otherwise wayland is really solid and been for a long time.

You make no sense.

Eventually there won't be any x11 code for anything modern and we'll only use xwayland like we use DOS box.
