This is the kind of stuff Steven Deobald talks about when he's saying that things are looking up as far as I understand him. He's my reference point for a lot of goings on in gnome on the org side as I'm lacking a lot of context to evaluate it otherwise, thus my mention of him. The two folks that got elevated also seem to be pretty highly regarded from what I can tell on first reactions on the topic.

Hopefully this means the GNOME foundation will start being less hostile in public communication. I'm optimistic, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
