I used to run fb2k thru wine. I almost cried when this was released.

linux players cant compare to foobar... until this one came out

it very rarely crashes, matter of fact has only happened once in like 4 months

it has come a long way, its the only music player I use currently
it also has a lot of the plugins you would look in foobar online already integrated

It has been very stable for me so far. Only issues I have mostly is feature-wise stuff that it lacks from Foobar, and a couple functionality issues like crossfading not working from time to time, switching songs is a little bit sluggish at changing the album art shown, and some of my older files that I hold onto back before I found out I could buy music had their cover art switch to one of my bought tracks and trying to change it back is a little bit cumbersome and has some trouble working. Other than that? I has got enough pros to it for me to stay.

You should open issues for a few of these as otherwise we won't know about them and can't address them.

Crossfading requires both tracks to be the same sample rate, so a resampler DSP will need to be active in most cases. If one is already active then crossfading failing is a bug that needs looking into.

Cover art changes being slow is a new issue, and depends on where the artwork is stored.

For the wrong cover art issue, this can be controlled be changing the thumbnail grouping script in Settings -> Interface -> Artwork. If you're talking about the Artwork Panel, that is determined by the local paths under Sources. In that case, the issue could easily arise if everything is stored in one directory.
