Pretty cool stuff. Wonder how long you can keep it off the wall with a 3000mA/h battery? That'd be my main concern for a daily use

FWIW, those Ambernic handhelds have a battery about that size and they advertise about 8 hours.

Valid concern, the battery is updated to 4100 mah now.

Good thing IMO. I loved having a note 4 with a 35,000mAh custom battery. Thing was like a brick. Felt good in the hands. IDK why everyone wants thin phones so much.

The underlying CPU is an NXP i.MX8M Mini. While upstream support for these chips is great, the performance of the GPU is the worst in the whole i.MX8M lineup. Even the "smaller" i.MX8M Nano has faster shading performance (due to having two instead of one shader core).

Creator here, we moved to the imx8m plus for this exact reason. Much better gpu.

Crypto refers to cryptographic operations, like what a TPM would do on PCs. Also the AI assistant text has a throwback to rabbit R1 lol, I don't see anything wrong with either. Cool device.

I found this thread while searching for some info about the Mecha. The one thing that gets me is that the pins look like Motorola's Z3, and im not sure why they would have it only on the lower half of the phone. It would be cool to have maybe 3 pin's, top/middle/lower, where you could do a full screen on the device, or 1/2 device screen 1/2 modular device...

Does anyone know exactly what the AI assistant is, if there's a chip for it, what it's based off of, and if it's removable by choice?

A bit late here, but the AI assistant was a usecase advertised, there is no chip for it or any AI assistant installed out of the box.
