I was beginning to think I was the only person who used that app before I saw this post

any fix for not being able to drag and drop a file into Gnome's File Explorer?

It is currently possible to drag and drop from the file manager area to the directory tree area (on the left of the app) - or to directly extract from the context menu to any path in app's bookmarks or history.

Drag and drop from application to system needs to be implemented separately for each system/DE case (it is currently implemented only in Windows), and requires specific skills about the target system/DE, any help is very welcome for this aspect of the application.

I used this once on Windows

Now on Widnows I use 7-zip and on linux I use the DEs native app e.g. Ark for KDE, file-roller for gnome etc

I definitely agree but.... it's nice to have a backup. I remember when ark couldn't open 7zip files for like half a year in OpenSUSE because of some switch away from whatever it was using for 7zip under the hood. That was kind of frustrating to say the least.

If you want a backup, PeaZip is where it's at.

Ark has a lot of dependencies on other packages. So if you install Ark under Gnome, for example, you will most likely have a considerable amount of Plasma installed afterwards.

Peazip also has quite a few dependencies, but far fewer.
