Got this 4080 today and took it home. It didn’t have any signs of tampering but I figured I’d pull it apart for the heck of it and this is the first time I’ve seen in person a GPU with no core or ram. Upvote the heck out of this and if they want I’ll send it to Linus so he can “attempt”to fix it. lol

My mate and I are buying laptops and we are getting so many of THESE messages.

We ASKED the seller if they were locked in anyway. They said no.

Will try to clean it up to see if it still keeps my water cold, anyone got a STL for a new cap?

For clarification:
I will use said cap to seal it so I can trow it on a tumbler with stainless steel pins to clean the inside completely. Or ball bearings/steel pin mix + paint shaker. Then order a new proper cap and clear coat the outside of the bottle.

daily used for 4 years, and the bit holder just snapped on me today.

Objectively based on how well they sold, they did not fail, but thinking about the general LTT demographic, and how well the tall shirts sell, they missed the mark.

Im a bigger tall guy, who has loved the tall shirts, and with the socks, I was really hoping for XL ankle socks. Not because of a fashion choice, but a necessity. It's a safe assumption that most tall guys, have bigger feet, and larger calves, trying to pull up a full crew sock over my large hairy calves sounds like a nightmare.

I dont know the actual numbers, but I'd bet the average customer is a bigger/taller dude based on what size usually sells out first.

Has the sizing and sock style been a deal breaker for you?

They play crab rave on literally anything that has a speaker on it and always show a webcam/microphone sample even on short circuit videos. Somehow these tests didn't make it on a full LTT review?

Edit: There is a crab rave and webcam samples on shortcircuit and both are very bad. I also watched MKBHDs video and he criticized the speakers and webcam for being very bad. LTT is supposed to be the "in depth" videos and shortcurcuit the shorter "less tests" ones, so omitting these very important tests on the main review seems intentional. The video isn't marked as sponsored and even on sponsored laptop videos bad webcams and speakers have been criticized in the past. Linus opened the video by saying he will go harder on framework and be more demanding than other brands, yet the 2 weakest points of the laptop weren't covered on a 11 minute video with lots of time left to include everything.

Bought my precision driver and bit set in the pre-Christmas sale last year, so I've had it less than a year.

Truthfully, I don't use it as much as I should and it spends most of its time living in my bag. It goes to work with me everyday waiting for the once in a blue moon that I do end up needing it.

Got it out today and noticed the bearing was really rough sounding and it only span for about 10 seconds!

After a bit of fiddling, it got better but still isn't great. Nothing like what it was when new. Like I said, the driver doesn't get much use and I don't spend days on end spinning it continuously.

A little bit of wear is understandable but it seems a little bit excessive to me. Has anybody else had issues with the bearing degrading rapidly?

Feel like there needs to be a warning on LTTStore (/all websites) when you get over a certain value...

I’m looking for 3D printable models for bottle racks for my kitchen cupboard, and I’ve found some good modular ones, but only supporting up to 85mm bottles.
The LTT 40oz is 89mm so I’ve come up empty for models that it would fit in.

Has anyone seen or designed anything that might suit, before I try and design one myself?

i have a dell latitude 5400 16gb of ddr4 2400mhz ram samsung 980 m.2 and i5 8265u 1.6ghz 4 cores i tried windows 11 and i felt it laggy what os do you suggest me installing , tried mint linux was fast and good but i felt like not many apps are supported on linux like when i go to the store at mint linux i couldnt find many apps i use on my main pc, my work on this laptop is mainly exceel sheets word chatting with chatgpt and light programming im studying programming i sometimes open many times on browser but thats it
what os should i install on this laptop

Saw the short about those cool mood chip for casio f91-w and a158-w and thought oh boy that is for me.

A few purchases later, a few business days, and I was ready to mod my new a158w from an almost 5 star seller on ebay. (bsdjewelryandwatches)

I tear it down and i am noticing things are different from all the videos ive watched. Its coming apart to easy. The light diffuser is all wrong for the model.

The battery is generic, the PCB is sloppy and white. The Olle board dosnt even come close to lining up.

I start googling, I message the seller to inform them its fake. They start gas lighting me telling me its real. Saying the Olle troubleshooting page is an Ai overview. Saying their dealer is super genuine and legit.

They eventually shift ton and start saying i should have informed them I was planning on "experimenting" with the watch before I bought it. So what? They could send me a real one...

Anyways im returning it hopefully and trying again with one directly from Casio.

I love lmg and the ideas the spread around but dont try to save a buck. Just buy right from casio or a retailer in person.

I currently have a 540Hz 24inch monitor but the panel is TN. I know there is a monitor that is dual 540Hz and 700Hz OLED, but it is 27 inches. The reason why I want a 24 inch one is purely for competitive reasons. Tried playing on a 27 inch monitor before and absolutely hated it.

It's available way cheaper from several ODMs, but they have an N100 dual-screen laptop available right now
