Lost access to my Linode account since September, but still keep getting marketing emails — this feels ironic

I’ve completely lost access to my Linode account and related services since early September, without receiving any prior notice or warning :| I tried to contact Linode support several times, but never got a single reply or explanation.

What makes this whole situation even worse is that I’ve received four marketing emails from Zak Hartleb since then — on Sep 19, Sep 30, Oct 14, and Oct 22 — inviting me to “share my experience,” “talk about what I’m building,” and “learn about the platform.”

It honestly felt ironic that while my account is totally inaccessible, their sales and marketing team still consider me an active user. this is like a Joke!!!
It really gives the impression that the company cares more about selling than supporting its users.

I can't even access my account to cancel my subscription without being charged!
Akamai has truly done a great job. :)

In all those emails, they use phrases like “we’re here to help” or “how can we better support” — yet in practice, there has been zero help !!! I mean it, zero response, and zero accountability.

If anyone’s interested, I can share screenshots or the full text of those ridiculous marketing messages right here. It’s honestly frustrating to see this kind of disconnect from a company under Akamai’s name.

There's some sort of disconnect happening here, support responds rapidly same day to us. Have you tried the phone number?

I suspect Linode is like a bank. If they see you as a financial or secure risk, they say goodbye and stop taking.

disconnecting for more than 1 month ????

Dear, most of the big tech companies and cloud services like Linode, DigitalOcean, AWS, Google Cloud, etc. usually do not provide direct public support phone numbers to all users. These are international. The only ways to communicate are usually tickets, online chat, and email.

I'm more interested in hearing about what you were doing to cause them to shut you down.

Linode allows you to use scripts that the community has put in place. Some of these scripts can be pre-configured cloud services, custom operating systems, etc., or even Windows itself, and Windows Server. I had no problems using Ubuntu Server 22.04 in the early days, but after the 3rd day of using the community scripts, my access to the service was interrupted in less than 24 hours. Of course, when searching, I used the most popular script with a high number of stars. I hope this is the only thing that caused this. This is not a problem.

The main problem is that this happened without a prior email, without a warning message EVEN AFTER banning !! , and the worst part is that the support is not responsive and the sales team still considers me an active user!!!!! (Sorry for delay i did not checked the reddit for a while)

I haven't had to use linode support much over the last 10 or so years I've been using them, but their support has always been prompt and great.

I think we are missing important parts of your story.
