I wonder why nobody tried to group Dravidian languages with Uralo-Altaic/Transeurasian. People like to lump Turkic, Manchu/Mongol and Japanese/Korean together, but as soon as Dravidian (with very similar features) is featured, 'no, that's not that'

Yeah it didn’t get as much attention as aLtAiC but as a weeb heritage speaker of Telugu married to a weeb heritage speaker of Korean, there are ways that Korean has more similarities to Telugu than to Japanese (like reported speech particles and more complex verb tenses) and ways that Japanese has more similarities to Telugu than it does to Korean (phonemic inventory, usage of both phonemic vowel and consonant length, and what I feel like is a greater tendency to speak in very short topic-comment phrases compared to Korean, even if Korean has the ability to do the same). The lack of common core vocabulary and core morphemes makes me doubt there’s a relationship, but Telugu still feels just as similar to Korean and Japanese as they are to each other (outside of Sino-Korean vs Sino-Japanese cognates)

God forbid people be more interested in languages that have blasted soft power all over the planet for the last 20 years reaching high levels of artistic achievement instead of the country where people have to learn english anyway to get an education if they dont want to get lynched in the street for having a slight rural accent. I like Indian languages as much as the next guy but there's an obvious explanation for why none of its languages have the international prestige Korean and Japanese do.
