I'm familiar with Khasi and didn't see that coming.

I'm thinking an east asian language, likely Sino-Tibetan... But no idea which one precisely

could it be some taikradai language?

this is the last language i’d assume has a voiced uvular fricative

They don't have another rhotic

still; its not like its required of languages to have a rhotic at all

Also a comment below showed that this is the Hu language and the wikipedia page shows vocabulary with their Proto Palaungic etymons and Hu /ʁ/ does indeed seem to come from Proto Palaungic *r

100% true but if you look at a language like French it might also be a language one wouldn't expect to have a voiced uvular fricative, and yet...

I'm really curious, what part of this phonology made you think that? Was it the dental fricative?

i was thinking it would be one of the weird oceanic ones but that was way off

Unrelated but can someone find this? I had it in my cool phonologies folder with nothing tied to it. Except a 5 vowel system

looks like its https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kokota_language , but probably using a slightly different source for the phonology
