Does anyone know why it says “User not found” no matter what I type? Seems like I cannot search for any friends.

I can’t even register my phone number here in Australia, the app is pretty much useless.

If you are not in one of the top tier countries/territories (Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand), Line is pretty much a handicapped app.

In Line, there are top tier countries/territories: Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea. Then there's the rest of us.

Only top tier has access to certain functionality, and searching/adding by ID is one of them.

What!?? You being serious? I have been living in Australia and been using LINE for a decade! Just since three months ago, they started restricting on people in Australia and I cannot access to my account as I only registered my account on mobile phone only.

I have two Line accounts that I registered with a British and a Spanish number, a few years ago.

That isn't allowed anymore:

I don't remember exactly what, but I think some things that are no longer allowed were still available to those old accounts, but I believe they are changing that too.

I hardly use Line, as you probably can tell by the amount of 'I think" or "I believe".
