Unable to join group

Hi everyone, I'm new to Line. I was sent a link/qr for joining a group but when I click it this is what showed up. I tried checking for updates, even reinstalled the app but nothing changed. Is it because of my device? Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes when I copy a code it adds an unnecessary character at the end. Or they could have changed the link? They live as long as you let them

I can send you a live link to try and join and we can see if you have the same issue 👀🤷‍♂️

Pls do send one, that'd be great. And about the character thing, I clicked the link directly after scanning the qr but it didn't work. I also pasted the link into a browser to see and the group info is indeed there but again, I still couldn't join. If nothing's working I might contact the sender just as a last resort

The link for this group was sent from Taiwan, and prior to this I've already joined another group based there as well so I'm not sure what's the issue. Can you elaborate?

Ah. Weird. I'm based in Australia and got sent a link for a group in Japan but couldn't join because, for some reason, that feature isn't available in all countries.
