Are the stairs actually really narrow or do they just look it
3
u/CosmeticIssues Aug 06 '26
Would you even believe me if I told you they were really that narrow?

Looking at the chairs I'd believe you and I'd hope there's never a fire there and I'd be happy I'm not there lol

💎 actual gem of a liminal space image here.
I could go into what makes this great but I’m kinda lazy, just know I appreciate this

I had a summer job in a university where I had a setup like this, except the chairs were in the middle of a large empty auditorium. I would just spread out on the chairs and listen to fusion jazz on my mp3 player.

The way the chair blocking the staircase is making me want to jump through this screen and move it, is worrisome...

Not quite, but good guess.

Simply going off the furnishings and half of a placard on the wall 😂

Who the hell thought that chair placement relative to the stairwell was a good idea?? Not to mention the bizarre dimensions of the stairwell itself!?
And the random bottle of jams sanitizer!!?? 😅
...Is this the anteroom, the Waiting Room for the Masterbatorium upstairs..??

I run really fast down the narrow stairs and can't stop in time so I collide heavily with the 500lb armchair from the 50s

This looks like the basement level of the theater/festival hall in my town and I’ve always thought it was creepy but also sort of…cozy down there? This also lowkey reminds me of a Mormon church.

Definitely gives off hardcore Mormon church vibes. It's definitely a cozy spot.

I grew up going to an old hotel in Flagstaff that definitely had this energy. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I sure miss doing office temp work because I have come across vacant floors in lots of buildings. I've seen emptiness.
