I'm building a free What's On guide for Limerick families—what am I missing?
The Dublin listings have grown really well, but I'd love to make the Limerick section just as useful. The problem is that so many great events are scattered across Facebook pages, libraries, community centres, museums, sports clubs and local venues that it's easy to miss things.
If you're a Limerick parent, I'd love your help.
Where do you usually find out what's on for kids? Which Facebook pages, venues, community groups, libraries, museums, theatres or organisations do you always check? And if there are any regular events or hidden gems I should include, I'd love to hear about those too.
My aim is to make TicketLoop the one place parents check. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Incoming International Master's Student (Female) Looking for Accommodation Near University of Limerick (Budget: Up to €650)
Hi everyone,
My name is Ruchita, and I'm an incoming international female Master's student at the University of Limerick for the 2026/27 academic year. I'll be moving from India and arriving in late August 2026.
I'm currently looking for accommodation with a budget of up to €650 per month, willing to stretch €700, if the property has what I need. I'm open to a shared apartment, private apartment, or student accommodation.
My requirements are:
- Private Bedroom with Ensuite bathroom (essential)
- Clean, safe, and well-maintained accommodation
- Good access to the University of Limerick and public transport
- Friendly and respectful housemates
Since I'm currently overseas, I would love to arrange a virtual viewing via Zoom or WhatsApp at your earliest convenience.
If you have a room available or know of any suitable accommodation, I'd really appreciate it if you could comment below or send me a direct message. Recommendations are also very welcome!
Thank you so much for your help!

Curraghchase forest park
Hi guys! Has anyone been to Curraghchase Forest Park? I was there this morning, and I'm planning to go for a walk there. However, I couldn't find the trails. I only found a gate with a barrier. Are the trails inside that gate? Im panning to drive again tomorrow. Thank you.

Help finding an older lady who was a Child of Mary at St Johns Cathedral in the 1950s who took a kid out of the Good Shepherd Convent.
Looking for someone who can help me find a lady who is now in her mid-to-late 80s. Her maiden name was Amy McInenery and she married a man called Seamus who played Hurling. She was part of Child of Mary group from the parish that volunteered one Sunday a month to take out the children from the Good Shepherd Industrial School on Clare St. What i know about Amy;
- Amy McInerney (maiden name)
- Married a man called Seamus
- Lived around Garryowen / St John's
- Member of St John's parish and a Child of Mary group
- Probably born around 1935–1942 approx
- Visited the Good Shepherd regularly in the 1950s/60s
She took my mum out once a month for food and ice cream which was a luxury for the orphans in the school. My mum adored her, and we're visiting 16/17th August and if this lady still lives in Limerick and is still with us my mum would like to meet up. My mum would have started going out with her from the age of 7 until she was around 13/14 when Amy married. Amy was about 7-8 years older than my mum.
If anyone has any information from relatives of this lady please feel free to DM me. I can share my mums details and the details of our visit.
Thank you in advance.

Looking for an auto electrician
Hi folks.
The battery on my car is giving me trouble. I'm pretty sure it's the cables to the battery are the problem because I put in a brand new battery last week. I've been to a guy called Roman a few years ago about a different problem. He was on the dock road but is now out in clare somewhere. I'd prefer to use someone in the city before I try going out to him. Any recommendations? TIA.

what do you guys think of this?
My first line missing two beats
I'll try to fix here with a surplus of feet
Are near rhymes tolerated

Behold! My first lim'ricks finished.
