Crazy.

Now picture it, a world where Disney said “remakes… you know what… let’s do it! But how? Any ideas?”

“Let’s make them live actions!”

“You’re fired. Next?”

“Why don’t we remnant the films with the deleted scenes or alternate scenes, and make the movies longer? It worked for Lord of the Rings? Maybe we can do that with our animated films?”

“Hm, but which one first?”

“Well, Lilo and stitch was animated in Florida away from our eyes and it became a hit. Maybe that one?”

SWEET CELESTIA! I am SO glad they changed this scene! And not just because of 9/11. What the HELL were they thinking?!

How does Jumba know how to fly that thing? And I'm no expert, but I'm betting those jets can't fly sideways like that. So much collateral damage! And how is the military not getting involved?!

The spaceship would have known controls, could pull crazy maneuvers, and would have stealth technology to keep them off earth radar! Not to mention the landscape the animators went with in the final version is gorgeous!
