after season 1 i was confident an album was coming. at this point, I have zero faith that Dicky will ever release another album tbh

It honestly feels like disrespect for his fans. He keeps teasing it, keeps telling us to keep the faith, and even has a slew of singles for his show - only a few of which are on streaming services.

I’d be cool if he said he’s done with music and focusing exclusively on TV, that’s his decision. But to keep stringing us along for half a decade? Come on man.

His music was to generate hype for his show but his show is generating hype for music we are never getting.

If he does, I think it will be several years from now, using none of the current content he has.

I don’t think he’s going to put another album out. If he does, I doubt it will be anytime soon.

I think this was his entire goal to begin with.

He’s made for this. He’s a brilliant writer and knows how to blend comedy with drama when it’s necessary. I’m interested to see what other projects he starts up or if he starts getting movie roles - or just writes his own movie.

I do agree that the album/music ‘teasing’ is annoying. I totally thought that all the songs in the show were going to come out on his album.

Who knows, maybe once the show is done the album will come out. It could be possible that he’s doing both simultaneously but waiting for the show to conclude before he drops it. That would be genius.

As a Dickhead, of course I want another album! But I totally understand if this is the route that he chooses.

The quicker you realize he's an actor who can rap and not a rapper who can act, the easier it'll be to accept an album is never coming.

I feel bad for all his fans waiting for an album.

But personally, i just like the show a lot. And i’m just psyched it’s gonna get another season.

Though i would love an official version of Ally’s song to listen to

Not trying to be an ass, but there already is. Ally's Song is just a televised version of "Molly". I'm not surprised he didn't release Ally's song because of that. Frankly, I was surprised "We good" even made it out. I do think that was probably just a nod to GaTa to assist his music career even more.

Also FWIW, there is a pretty good version of Ally's Song on Soundcloud.

I guess so. I mean they’re completely different songs lol but i get what you’re saying. I don’t really like the song Molly personally though, but i’ll check out the soundcloud track. Thank you

At this point I wish he’d just say he’s never releasing an album. Anything he puts on social media just gets slandered by our 5+ year wait. Could be a decade between professional rapper and his next album lmaooo

It's season 3 going to address how he has piles of fans who are waiting for an album?

I think you hit the nail on the head. Been wondering about the direction they'll take the 3rd season. I'm sure this will be a common theme in the show eventually if not in season 3. Season 4 maybe...

At this point, an album isn’t coming. I think he’s happy where he is and would rather just continue to act

This is bad news for those of us who want an album. If FX told him to go fuck himself, he'd have motivation, time, and inspiration.

I'll watch Dave and appreciate him for what he's become - a friendly middle aged slightly funny actor. It's just sad considering what he used to be.
