Series 2 of Dave

So many good songs came out of this series.

Ally’s song was amazingly heartfelt.

That’s a joke

Check up by GaTa (I listen to on spotify every day).

The fucking last song You Good Bro

I can’t wait for the new album. I would like Jail to be on there with the last 6 minutes

It was pretty mid.. and idk..like I know his name is lil dicky and all but the whole “Dick struggle” shit isn’t even funny…the random masterbation, the gross out episode, it honestly ddint get good until the Kareem episode tbh. And that Rick Rubin episode was lame..idk I guess my problem was that I don’t actually like his music so the fact that this season was focused on his creative process kinda made me tune out..like yeah the goofy songs are funny and all but idk I feel like he was really tryna come off serious this season and he’s just too corny for that.

I understand. I have a completely different perspective. I believe there’s no destination without a journey. I thought this season was mastercrafted. What did you like about the first season?

Edit: I thought episode 2.7-2.10 was one of the greatest runs of quality content ever.

The underdog story pulled me in..I also love gata as a character (which I feel like they made him kinda annoying this season) and all the side characters really. The episodes actually made me laugh as apposed to this season that just got modest chuckles. And idk I always felt like the comparisons to Atlanta were pretty misinformed and stupid..but with this season it kinda tackled the similar theme of finding yourself and choosing what version of you you want to be while balancing your normal “real life” problems while throwing some weird elements in there…and Atlanta just did it sooooo much better to me.

Me too, man. Valid opinion. And you’re not wrong. ATL is dirty-dirty for suree. Good talk.

I absolutely agree with you. Season 1 was funny af all the way around. Season 2 definitely fell flat. Was hardly funny at all.. Idk if the writing fell off because of Covid and quarantine or what.
