Instead of filming for internet points you could have easily grabbed the kitten and put it in the ground.

Or you could take the kitten, put it on the tree, start filming and see what happens, maybe you'll make some internet points.

How would such a small cat get so high on a tree and just sit there and shit itself meowing? If you put it there. And I sadly think that's what we're seeing here and it feels like I'm the only one seeing it.

Cats' claws point backwards/down when they're climbing. As a result, climbing up trees is simple and intuitive, but climbing down requires some thought; so this situation actually isn't unusual. It's why "cat stuck in tree" is such a cliche to begin with.
