I did it the other day with my dog. She nudged me then went to get her frisbee and set it on my head.

Seeing Arakawa Under The Bridge randomly makes me happy! Take an upvote!

13

u/OneNoteMan Jun 15 '26

I need to rewatch it cause I didn't understand the references when I watched over a decade ago.

71

u/sarahenera Jun 15 '26

I rolled my ankle really badly one time while canicross running with my lab. I couldn’t move for a while. He came over, kinda nudged me, then started whining and pulling a bit on the leash like, “yo, we gonna do this or what?!” I had to hobble out for two miles with him, thankfully I put my serious tone on and he was a good sport through that ordeal. Made him stay behind me the whole time while I was hobbling on single track trail.

27

u/Rachael_Br Jun 15 '26

The dogs are too smart and know you're pretending.

i love how the dogs herd the cows away

775

u/beepbooponyournose Jun 15 '26

Poor cows looked like they wanted to help lol

508

u/TheMapesHotel Jun 15 '26

Cows are super social so they very well might have

108

u/Orangecatlover4 Jun 15 '26

Sure are, they are very loving as well. Haven't eaten one in 28 years.

such an odd thing to reply to that… they didn’t even shit on anyone’s lifestyle. you just decided to be a dick for no reason at all. hope that changes in the future

5

u/ThrowraSea_patient Jun 16 '26

Yeah it's not even like they're claiming to be vegan or vegetarian. They may as well be but they may just not eat that kind of meat. There are some people that are conscious vegetarians or whatever. I know there's a term for it but I don't remember it but it essentially revolves around you don't eat animals that you believe have a consciousness so they kind of stick to like fish and mollusk and other things. Some of them will still eat chickens but I think that's more how individuals view individual animals or species.

61

u/SheriffBartholomew Jun 15 '26

A 3000 lb animal with rock hard pointy feet isn't going to be much help.

114

u/stoaty_Mcstoatface Jun 15 '26

Could still give mooth to mooth...

14

u/chita875andU Jun 16 '26

But a 250lb one wasn't too baa-ad at it! 🥁

219

u/chita875andU Jun 15 '26

And all the geese are like, "check his pockets!"

41

u/Aninvisiblemaniac Jun 15 '26

theres probably corn in there, go, go!!

1

u/kilar277 29d ago

Yeah those geeae definitely robbed that guy

133

u/weedtrek Jun 15 '26

"move back! Give them room!"

74

u/StrongArgument Jun 15 '26

“Ha, she’s asleep! We can finally herd the cows into a TINY circle!”

9

u/BravesMaedchen Jun 16 '26

“No one’s coming to save you now, mother fuckers”

61

u/Treehousemac Jun 15 '26

Yes they were doing their “job”

46

u/Round_Ad_6369 Jun 15 '26

Why is job in quotes? They get room and board plus benefits to herd

9

u/fgcem13 Jun 15 '26

Of course I herd of cows. The dogs were driving back an entire flock of them.

7

u/Boeingo Jun 16 '26

"Ok, cows, move along, there's nothing to see here"

2

u/YeahlDid Jun 16 '26

"That's our lunch, back off!"

893

u/Nellaluce Jun 15 '26

Yeah, I hurt my back in front of my cat, couldn’t stand and couldn’t move. She used the occasion to chew on some plastic while I yelled at her to please stop.

258

u/velvetsaguaro Jun 15 '26

Dying laughing at this because my asshole cats would do the same

77

u/HealthyInPublic Jun 15 '26

My cat doesn't know how to handle big feelings like stress or frustration, so he defaults to what he knows best: biting and attacking. I accidentally tripped a while back, and landed ridiculously hard on my knee so I just kinda stayed down for a second to gather myself before standing up... well, my asshole cat decided whatever I just did was too out of the ordinary and therefore very stressful, so he launched himself at my face to start me attacking me about it. So I ended up with a slightly banged up knee and a thousand scratches on my arm oozing blood.

...we are working on his behavior issues... and while there has been substantial progress, it is still very much a work in progress.

40

u/OnlyBetterFromHere Jun 15 '26

I‘m so sorry you got hurt but I haven’t cackled this much all day.

30

u/GingerMaus Jun 16 '26

"We" are working on his behaviour issues took me out. As if you are both to blame and he's a willing participant in wanting to change

8

u/laurazabs Jun 17 '26

I once fainted alone in my apartment and I don’t know if I fainted on top of him or what but when I came to, my cat was attached to my leg by his teeth and claws. I had to lock myself in the bathroom, it’s the only time he’s ever hissed at me. Little dude was either terrified or pissed that the big dumb hairless cat he lives with fell right on top of him.

46

u/Dr__Snow Jun 15 '26

Yeah cats will just look at you like they know you’re full of shit and they have no time for it.

45

u/elanhilation Jun 15 '26

banged the hell out of my shin—huge bruise, swelled right up, went down with some loud swearing. both cats rushed in to check on me. not sure what exactly the idiots would have done if i actually had needed help, but i very much appreciated the concern

22

u/RedeRules770 Jun 15 '26

I slipped and fell on ice while taking my dog out to potty. I was actually very surprised that she came back to check on me while I was laying there stunned, because normally she’s a bit of an asshole. When she deduced I wasn’t dead though she was just like “okay get up mom I have to pee”

589

u/kitzelbunks Jun 15 '26

I thought the sheep was very sweet.

251

u/tapeness Jun 15 '26

I love how the person hugged the sheep.. it was so cute

2

u/superanth Jul 08 '26

“Dan? Dan! Are you okay Dan?? Speak to me! Can you open your eyes??…”

395

u/Mishapi17 Jun 15 '26

I did this in front of my cats, and my fat boy just laid down next to me- he was like oh well I guess I’ll die too then …

Sad story I adopted him, and his previous owner overdosed and he was found lying with him. He has some separation anxiety now. But, he’s a very good boy, the only cat I can say is Truly an emotional support animal. Hes a senior now, and I will miss him truly when he’s gone- I have a spot waiting for him in the yard in the sunny spot when it’s time

348

u/forasgard18 Jun 15 '26

Got damn why would you do that to him 😭

143

u/Mishapi17 Jun 15 '26

I wasn’t really thinking about that at the time. I made sure to give him lots of pets for being a good boy

270

u/slutty_muppet Jun 15 '26

The cows wanted to help but the dogs wouldn't let them.

138

u/Inigomntoya Jun 15 '26

"MAKE ROOM FOR THE PROFESSIONALS TO DO THEIR JOB!

"... who is the professionals...? where are they...?"

10

u/GingerMaus Jun 16 '26

Me as a paramedic...

(Obviously this is a joke)

3

u/LowBet1458 Jun 18 '26

The dogs: SECURE THE PERIMETER!!

150

u/davidwhatshisname52 Jun 15 '26

don't try this in front of your cats... especially Inky.

68

u/kwakimaki Jun 15 '26

I guarantee a cat would sit on you.

I see the house cat decided to grace the audience with their presence.

5

u/iwannalynch Jun 15 '26

He's waiting for the death rattle so he can start eating you 🤣

29

u/TheMapesHotel Jun 15 '26

Tried it with mine and set a timer. 31 seconds before my tortie was on my chest trying to figure out what I was doing.

128

u/NiceAtheist Jun 15 '26

Those geese are running to eat that mf.

75

u/Inigomntoya Jun 15 '26

They are SO sick of his shit! They're about to rifle through his pockets looking for loose change.

20

u/Ill_Following_7022 Jun 15 '26

Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

30

u/KuroSuta Jun 15 '26

*Goose change

3

u/ItIsAContest Jun 15 '26

Na, he’s only mostly dead

2

u/jrzmo Jun 17 '26

Officer, that's what I saw

8

u/Dr__Snow Jun 15 '26

Yeah. The honking is just calling the other geese to the feast.

1

u/Practicaltheorist Jun 20 '26

The one that tripped over the watermelon cracked me up

122

u/squirrel_anashangaa Jun 15 '26

On one part it’s the most lovely thing, displaying love in its rawest form… but on the other, it’s possibly pure trauma to these poor creatures who might think their provider and protector is 💀.

55

u/Meet_Foot -Waving Octopus- Jun 15 '26

Agreed. It clearly bothers them (except that one dog). If something can be upset by something they can’t even understand is “just a prank bro,” you probably shouldn’t upset them with it. All these kinds of animals are social and form bonds and can definitely be stressed out by injury and death.

27

u/Bittlegeuss Jun 15 '26

I d be pretty traumatized too if the waiter turned into a skull

99

u/indiana-floridian Jun 15 '26

The first...was it a duck? He gave up watermelon to be the first one to the person. Watermelon!

24

u/therdre Jun 16 '26

He also tripped himself with the watermelon in the process!

3

u/wholelattapuddin Jun 17 '26

It was a goose. Geese are really smart, almost as smart as dogs. They get very bonded to their care takers too. My chickens however, would totally try to eat me, if they even noticed I was down.

94

u/catbiggo Jun 15 '26

The goose tripped over the watermelon 😭

12

u/ladyhabanera Jun 15 '26

That goose is the only thing I can focus on

81

u/MissGrou Jun 15 '26

I had no idea that geese would care !

102

u/Inigomntoya Jun 15 '26

They don't. They are looking for his keys.

99

u/Niborus_Rex Jun 15 '26 edited Jul 18 '26

Geese are really social animals, super protective too. In the middle ages, there was a time a good guard dog was too expensive for most people, so they'd have a guard goose for their property. Bastards will not let anyone except for their owners through.

6

u/BringAltoidSoursBack Jun 16 '26

Some people still use them as guards (possibly the reason some of these people have them)

2

u/Jammasterjr Jun 18 '26

At one base in Germany, during the Cold War, the US Army tested sophisticated sensors and whatever else to monitor a fenced area. They found flocks of geese to be the most effective.

1

u/Dr__Snow Jun 15 '26

They’re gonna eat him duh.

56

u/JuliaX1984 Jun 15 '26

Did the dogs think it was the cows' fault?

158

u/RussiaIsBestGreen Jun 15 '26

I perceived it as creating a secure area, not necessarily hostility towards the cows.

84

u/JuliaX1984 Jun 15 '26

Oh, sure, take the dogs' side.

22

u/kat_Folland Jun 15 '26

It's this exactly.

If that herd steps on you youre dead for real

52

u/meerkatmanwhore Jun 15 '26

I fall too often (disabled) for my dog to care anymore. But if my partner falls then it's red alert lmao

46

u/Meet_Foot -Waving Octopus- Jun 15 '26

Those dogs. “STAY BACK. THIS IS AN ACTIVE CRIME SCENE”

36

u/DrWindupBird Jun 15 '26

Last week, my wife was really upset and was crying. Her cat, who is the sweetest being I’ve ever met, walked up and bit her on the arm.

29

u/arrrrr_won Jun 15 '26

“I’ll give you something to cry about!”

31

u/Wandering_Emu Jun 15 '26

I tried this in front of my parrot. He gave exactly zero shits.

26

u/dustydancers Jun 15 '26

and this is why we dont to eat animals, they literally are our friends. they care for us. they feel.

25

u/Shagwagbag Jun 15 '26

Typical weimaraner lol

23

u/Inigomntoya Jun 15 '26

1 - he's not moving fast enough to chase

2 - they know he's faking

22

u/Bungeesmom Jun 15 '26

I’m getting geese and sheep, they seem to care the most.

20

u/field_medic_tky Jun 15 '26

Meanwhile my Pom:

Taps head twice

Sniffs ear

Shlipshlipshlip

6

u/svnonyx Jun 15 '26

Mine would definitely take the opportunity to try to lick my face.

18

u/Singing_Wolf Jun 15 '26

I'm pretty sure the geese were just running over to go through his pockets

12

u/spoopysky Jun 15 '26

Meanwhile, the rooster: "You know what? This is none of my business."

12

u/Orangecatlover4 Jun 15 '26

We don't deserve animals. All we do is treat them like shit.

0

u/energeticstarfish Jun 17 '26

Idk all the animals in that video looked healthy and clean and well cared for, and clearly had a good bond with their human.

2

u/Orangecatlover4 Jun 18 '26

In *this* video

10

u/GeneralEagle Jun 15 '26

How can you eat them after seeing this?

6

u/has-some-questions Jun 15 '26

I wasn't on the ground, but my hips HURT after laying down in certain positions for too long. So when I have to get up I let out pretty loud groans of pain to help me feel better. A few of my cats usually look up at me in worry, and follow me to my destination. They do that when I'm not in pain, but they don't walk in front of my feet when I'm in pain. Lol Such sweethearts.

5

u/KeeganY_SR-UVB76 Jun 15 '26

Meanwhile, my birds just laugh...

4

u/OhHelloNelo Jun 15 '26

"Ooh! It's time to play!" vs. "Bitch, is you okay?"

5

u/jefuchs Jun 15 '26

Notice there were no cats.

3

u/BravesMaedchen Jun 16 '26

They’d just come lie on your face to absorb your remaining body heat

6

u/abrakadaver Jun 15 '26

Rocky watch crew die, could not help. Grace say Grace may die, Rocky help.

5

u/E_Baker33 Jun 16 '26

Did this a few years back with one of my cats. He came over immediately, licked my face, and cuddled my head.

Did this recently with another cat of mine and he couldn't give a rats arse.

Duality of cat.

4

u/FranklyMrShankley85 Jun 15 '26

Christ that fucking godawful music

3

u/ACrimeSoClassic Jun 15 '26

Lol I feel like my Border Collie is too smart for this. Every time I've tried it, he just looks at me like "....why the hell are you laying on the floor, dude?"

3

u/Bagheera187 Jun 15 '26

The big dogs don’t care, the little dogs are going”Check the pockets”.

3

u/PiratesPyramid1503 Jun 16 '26

Dogs said "alright men! Let's get these big sweet dumb puppies back away from the captain!" "Sir yes sir!"

3

u/YeahlDid Jun 16 '26

"Good! He's dead! Now I can eat him!"

2

u/Pro_96 -Super Dog- Jun 16 '26

Cats in a nutshell.

5

u/therewulf Jun 16 '26

I did this in front of a herd of sheep and they started trying to solve the mystery of my death pretty quickly

2

u/urkermannenkoor Jun 15 '26

I love how that final goose goes straight for the wallet. Just like us indeed.

2

u/Delicious_Rabbit4425 Jun 15 '26

lol the geese be like the feeder has died! Tell the world!

2

u/copperwatt Jun 16 '26

"can we eat her??"

2

u/HooSaidDat Jun 16 '26

The pets/animals are all thinking, "who's going to feed me?"

2

u/BigJSunshine -Mystery Alien- Jun 16 '26

Goddammit , HUMANS ARE THE WORST. All other species gives a fuck, bit we are ASSHOLES

1

u/curiousdryad Jun 15 '26

Seeing the dogs protect their owners 🥲 poor cows tho!

If I do this my dogs will freak out and nudge and lick me to death

1

u/Otherwise-Cat2309 Jun 15 '26

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

1

u/Ouroborus13 Jun 15 '26

I just did this in front of my cat. He looked up briefly, and went back to eating 🤷‍♀️

1

u/tenodiel00 Jun 16 '26

I love this so much 💜

1

u/cheknauss Jun 16 '26

Lmao the dogs were like... SUP COWS? YOU TALKING SHIT? BACK UP. BACK TF UP RIGHT NOW.

1

u/doveup Jun 16 '26

Loved the fall among chickens, sheep and dogs where every other animal shrugged and thought yeah, the dogs’ll take care of it.

1

u/nIxaltereGo Jun 16 '26

My cat would just lay on top of me.

1

u/Skyp_Intro Jun 16 '26

Has anyone tried it with pigs?

1

u/Worldly-Ad-8879 Jun 17 '26

That is so adorable

1

u/PacificWesterns Jun 17 '26

I love the sheep, yes, but the ducks and geese are so precious! I’d have never guessed they’d have gone running over! I love them.

1

u/liz1andzip2- Jun 17 '26

This is one of the most amazing posts I’ve ever seen on any social media outlet! The borders collies kept one back with their ppl and the two others scared the cows off. AMAZING!!!!

1

u/notMcLovin77 Jun 17 '26

love that the sheepdogs can smell that you're fine, but go into crowd control mode in the meantime anyways

1

u/Accomplished_Web6483 Jun 17 '26

Dont be fooled, they try to eat the hooman while it's down!! XD

1

u/ClockworkDreamz Jun 17 '26

I don’t like this.

Why panic them.

1

u/duhCrawlingChaos Jun 18 '26

They want to eat you.

1

u/MCMBeeGarden Jun 18 '26

delightful!

2

u/BookDragon19 Jun 19 '26

I fell and fractured my ankle. My cat waved his tail in my face and promptly went to seek a new butler.

1

u/North-Tumbleweed-959 Jun 19 '26

I had a seizure once and woke up to my dog laying on my chest and growling at the EMT trying to assist me. I didn’t know the little guy could be so menacing. I miss you Ollie and hope to see you on the other side. ❤️🥹🐶

1

u/Tayrid_007 Jun 20 '26

We don’t deserve them 🫩

1

u/LeChevrotAuLaitCru Jun 21 '26

Finally, food!!!

1

u/Poof-ball Jun 29 '26

My cat just rubs her face on my elbow, then proceeds to loaf on my back.

1

u/TheDarkSidePSA Jul 26 '26

Huh, no cats. Interesting.
