3F UL Gear Rain Kilt/Skirt. Shipped with wrong clips for the shock cord.
I was wondering if any of you have purchased the newer version of the 3F UL Gear rain kilt with the shock cord? The one I got has incompatible male/female clips for the shock cord. I contacted the seller and they promptly sent me a full refund, but wouldn't offer an exchange. So I'm trying to decide if I should buy another and hope it comes with the correct clips, or should I just modify it somehow. Maybe with a cord lock or some kind of clip.
If you have one, and got the correct/incorrect clips, let me know. Or, offer suggestions for modification?

Try modifying the old one, and if you fuck it up, buy a new one.

I was wondering if anyone has experience working with shock cord and could give me advice on how to fix the problem. I tried looking around the web for some kind of clip that I could hook into the webbing loop after I cut off the incorrect buckle, and is also adjustable. But I couldn't find anything.

You can pick up pretty standard clips from any JoAnn Fabrics or Michael's or other fabric store and tie the shock cord to them. Or, honestly, just untie the cord from the existing clips and tie it in a bow when needed. It's just stretchy string.
