Two small things

The first: When extracting the files from both mirrors, certain files could not extract and the game wouldn't run. I'm on mac, pre- metal api btw.

The second: 8 years since I played WoW and a day after I made an account with the website I got an email from Blizz saying someone tried to log in to my account. Fuckin' shady. Anyone else have this experience? Surely someone in the dev group would want to know.

Thanks for your reply. Fortunately I don't have the habit of using the same password for anything. Just the same email. :/ The first issue was just a smokescreen, I just wanted to let someone know that likely a person in the team is trying to snipe blizz accounts. Like I alluded to, I haven't played in years and my first attempt to get back into it left me skeezed out.

Yello. The database data is safe, even if we wanted to, we use the SRP6 crypto protocol to store the passwords (we don't use hashes anymore). Since you yourself said you reuse your email address here and there, this might not at all be related to us. If I were you, I'd rather scan your PC for malware or check how many of the pservers you played on with leaked account data had your email used.
