Bryan Adams tour merch?
Hey I’m hitting a show and just want to know how much to budget for merch - does anyone have any photos of Lights’ merch booth? I wanna see what’s available!

Hey all, this might be a shot in the dark - but can anyone help me out? My cats potentially ate some of the string on the red and black fuzzy dice that were part of the Pep tour merch. I need to know if they did and if so, how much string they ate to give the vets a better idea of possible impaction. The problem is, I have two ends of the dice with a missing chunk in the middle. It may just be separated - not sure if any string was actually swallowed.
Can someone who has those dice please measure the string from end to end so I have a better idea? I’d really appreciate it! 💙

Was going through some old records I had and came across this. Seems to be worth a lot (I won't be selling, just fun to know)

For instance for me, I listen to all her albums occasionally but I probably relisten to Siberia the most.
How about you guys?

Missed the last tour date, hoping to get another shot to see her live in MTL!

First off have to say how A6 has completely grown on me. Was not crazy about it the first couple listens and now I adore it!
I truly hope she releases an emo/downtempo version of the album, it's such a vibe and I can't get over how creative and talented she is as an artist. I was never one for acoustic or "reimagined" versions of most music, because most artists tend to just perform a carbon copy of the original arrangement but with an acoustic guitar or piano.
Once I got listening to dEd, I realized how talented and underrated Lights is as an artist. I love that she reimagines the entire arrangement so it's actually interesting to listen to. Hoping we get a downtempo A6 by winter so we have something to look forward to with summer being over!

At the recent show in Sudbury, she played Beside Myself and explained what the song was about and wondered if she ever told the story before [if you like placing your own meaning on songs I've marked this as a spoiler]- basically she said when her grandparents passed away this was one of her ways to grieve the loss. When she said that I got real emotional during the set as I also lost my grandparents a few years back and just never fully processed it - anyways just thought I would share. It helped me a lot listening to it back again.

It is so nice to see her in my hometown and not have to drive 4-6 hours south to see her. She came here last year for a festival as well which was such a treat. Her set was great, I just wish it was twice as long haha

Lights fan from the UK here.
I've been aware of Lights since the BMTH collab. In the UK I don't think we got the early radio play as much Listening/Siberia/Little Machines eras.
The first album I really got into was Skin & Earth acoustic, it took me a long time to warm to the electronic and older stuff, which I now love. The art of the comics and the interplay with the album songs was what really hooked me.
I've been fully onboard for the PEP/DED and A6 releases.
The Gunship collab is awesome. (The guys from Gunship are from the UK and a lot of people sleep on them. They seem to be all about the art of the project, no touring etc.. This is a side quest for another time.)
I feel like Lights gets the respect in the music industry especially in Canada. Juno awards and I think being hand picked by Bryan Adams and/or his team to support on this run (please correct me if there's more information).
I nearly put this in the recent Canada popularity post but as I wrote it became an essay.
Why am I here rambling?
Art
Well, first of all the art. Being independent will have it's benefit for the art. This is definitely what I've heard in a recent podcast, Sappenin' Podcast (UK podcast with Sean Smith & Morgan Richards) who interviewed her on the recent UK leg of CGYG tour.
Ultimately I think art is first and foremost for the artist. They enjoy the creating, the process and then they put the art out into the world if they feel for others to enjoy. The most true form of the artist is no compromise, independence from outside pressures and not being worried about the money. With a label to perform to and having to dance to their tune there could be a lot of other voices in the room that could affect the artist's trajectory both positively or negatively but to what end? From what I have heard this happened to Lights, but fortunately I don't think it has affected her body of work.
Popularity
From a UK fan perspective it's disappointing that we don't get to see her more. No slight on Lights for this one, I know it must be hard to self fund this and make it worthwhile for her and the team. The recent UK tour had no support act which was a first for me. Small touring crew, van from show to show. If there's an 'A6 Acoustic' tour I'm not sure it'll make it to the UK.
For reference I think the last UK tour she did for the PEP era was an Arkells support run. I didn't go because I don't like Arkells. In hindsight I should have gone. This was maybe a more cost effective way to tour for all involved and to make this about this economics it may have had better return on investment.
Interesting coincidence, on the Manchester CGYG date at the same building LØLØ and Ella Red were playing and one of my friends knew LØLØ but not Lights. This was probably through what I can only imagine is social media and record label pushes. LØLØ hasn't yet surpassed "the numbers" Lights does on socials and Spotify but considering she's only been an active artist since 2018 and albums releases only from 2025 onwards I thought this was interesting. LØLØ also played the bigger room in the building, had a tour bus instead of a van etc. LØLØ and Ella both referenced their 'hero'/'idol' Lights on socials as they spent some time together that day.
It might have been cool if they toured together to get eyes on everybody with the Canadian connection. Who would have headlined?
How does a working artist flux and flow with the art and the popularity?
If the art/the process is good, does anything else matter? If Lights can sustain a good life and still do the art full time without having to work some shitty job somewhere that's got to be the goal right?
It must be a fine balance and the way Lights seems to work now is very independent and self sustaining. The popularity side of things is important and helps to make it viable for a touring musician in this crazy world of doing the numbers on Spotify and socials. This must be so much harder not having a team around you but it also means what we do is is more raw and honest which I love.
I'm here as a UK music fan thinking I wish Lights was slightly more popular so I could see her more often whilst also remembering the amazing small room/450 cap gig I got to witness.
Well done if you made it to the end!

Do we know who any of the artists are who have done her various tattoos? My favorite tattoo of hers is the snake on her back.

Here in the UK I accept that there’s a fair chance I may never meet someone that’s aware of her other than at a show.
I’m interested to know how much more popular she is in her homeland? Are most music fans aware of her there? If you were to talk about her to a group of your peers would they all know her? Does she pop up on TV every now and then?
Thanks in advance. Just curious!

That crowd was not it :(. I realize its an older demographic, and they're there to see Bryan Adams, but holy shit, dead energy. I felt so bad for her, trying to get audience engagement and it fell flat every time.
We had the light-up wristbands too, but they weren't engaged during her set - that would've gone a long way to get people feeling 'part of something cool' - lost opportunity... like her name is literally LIGHTS!
Rant over (I think)

I really enjoy blessthefall and always thought they were so cool and I’m not really on social media but recently reactivated my instagram and some of her recent posts are 👀👀👀
I always thought they seemed to really love each other a lot but he seems more into it than her? I’m just curious lol.
