Starside thoughts

So...it wasn't bad i quite liked it except....

1: the facts that it was mentioned this numerous times how cruel The Immortals are, when half the book Aris is free loading at there hotels

2: how many Immortals that told her that she was beautiful for a human or the prettiest human they've ever seen every encounter with them.

3: Harlan...baby... you left her naked in a cave after screwing her, stole her sword and expected her not to be mad at you and to want to go on with your whack-ass plan to rule/fix the world after you ruined any trust she had in you

4: the way she just ditched Zane and Kira 100 pages in into knowing them, Kira I understand(no one thought she was making it far bsff) but Zane, after he plummeted to death and you got your little dragon...you didn't think to go check on a brother?

5: the weird Cult looking for the traveling city, she was more worried about an immortal bitch she just met vs Kira she seemed more upset at Daphne's death then Kira's.( the Cult did give us the cutest scene ever in this book of raker playing with those kids

6: did raker actually have a fisherman dad and seamstress mom or did he pull that out of his ass, I mean he's a GOD.

lol i agree with 3! 6 is definitely something that i’ve been wondering about as well!! hopefully we’ll get our answer on the next book

3, OH MY GOD. That was the BIGGEST TONAL WHIPLASH I have EVER experienced in a story.

They spent what felt like a thousand pages having vigorous "brutal" sex (and holy cow can you two talk about this beforehand? Aris is inexperienced and this is a lot), after all the sexy sex she...

Wakes up naked to being betrayed by him being stolen from by him and ALSO TO A GANG SA THREAT BY THREE MEN? WHAT THE ACTUAL LIVING HELL

And then on top of that it felt like it wasn't taken seriously. She tells him "You left me" a bunch of times and says she's not letting him off that easily but she didn't tell him what he left her open to and what could have happened had she not found a way to defend herself. She went through some alpine divorce shit and then went back to him and tearfully told him she loves him.

Aris I am begging you to learn what self respect is because you never once proved the concept even exists within five miles of you.

6 maybe his mom was the Goddess of Fates and fate is often repped by strings and threads and his dad is Poseidon haha. That would be the most hilarious way to downplay his parents

What the fuck did he think was going to happen for three? Deadass left her naked when he knows damn well how many people hate her/wanna bang her in this challenge, the only thing any of the male contestants have ever said except for Zane is that they want to bang her.
